As many will know I have been lobbying on behalf of residents for some time to get the Lower Queens Road entrance to Buckhurst Hill station opened again.
My work has now paid off, as I received a letter from Mike Brown, Managing Director of London Underground, in which he says he is keen for the entrance in Lower Queen’s Road to be opened again. Mr Brown’s letter said, It is not a matter of if, but ” when and how.”
After my questions, Mr Brown had commissioned a feasibility report. It will be some time before the station entrance is actually opened, however this will finally, after a long wait, mean step free access at Buckhurst Hill station. I will continue to push London Underground to make sure this does indeed happen.
