I am celebrating the news that the crossing of Loughton Way/Albert Road/Roding Lane and Palmerston Road is to get a pedestrian phase which will allow residents to cross the busy junction with more safely. I have campaigned for several years for this with local residents and the county council only started to look at it after I got a petition of over 200 local residents. This is a victory for myself and all the residents who have longed for this to happen. It has been long overdue. However I'm delighted that this is now going to happen and would like to thank all those at the county council for recognizing the need to change.
